Privacy Policy

PocketPacer (“we”, “us”) is a running calculator and race-planning app. We designed it to collect as little personal data as possible. This page explains exactly what is stored, where, and why.
Who is responsible
PocketPacer is developed and operated by InUmbra AB, Sweden, which is responsible for the processing of personal data described in this policy.

1. Local device storage
Your goals, plans, custom distances, units, theme and other preferences are stored only in your browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it. If you clear your browser data or uninstall the app, this information is permanently deleted.
2. Analytics and tracking
PocketPacer does not run third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or behavioral profiling. We do not use cookies for tracking. Our hosting provider may keep short-lived request logs (IP address, timestamp, URL) for operational security; these are not used to identify individual users.
3. Accounts and purchase restore
If you purchase PocketPacer Pro, we may store information necessary to verify the purchase and to provide or restore your Pro access.
For purchases made through the PocketPacer website, this may include:
- The email address you used at checkout
- Your Stripe customer and payment identifiers
- The purchase amount, currency and timestamp
For purchases made through the PocketPacer iOS app, payment and transaction information is processed by Apple through the App Store. PocketPacer may receive and process purchase and transaction information necessary to verify the purchase and determine your Pro entitlement.
When you request a Pro restore by email for a website purchase, we send a one-time verification link to that address. We do not send marketing email.
4. Payment processing
Purchases made through the PocketPacer website are processed by Stripe. Purchases made through the PocketPacer iOS application are processed by Apple through the App Store using Apple In-App Purchase.
PocketPacer does not directly collect or store your complete payment card information. Payment information is handled by the applicable payment provider. Stripe and Apple process payment-related information in accordance with their respective privacy policies: stripe.com/privacy and apple.com/legal/privacy.
5. Transactional email
Verification and receipt emails are sent from notify.pocketpacer.app. We log delivery status to detect bounces and prevent spam, and you may unsubscribe from any non-essential message via the link in the email.
6. Data retention
Purchase records we hold, whether for website or iOS app purchases, are retained as long as required for tax and accounting obligations. You can request deletion of the purchase record we hold at any time by emailing us; this may also revoke Pro access that depends on that record. Records held by Apple or Stripe are governed by their own policies.
7. Your rights
You can request a copy of any personal data we hold about you, request correction, or request deletion. Email support@pocketpacer.app and we will respond within 30 days.
